THE ILL SEERIES

May 4th, 2007 - Wow! Almost a full year since my last Ill Seeries ... apologies, I really did have to get some of my life in order ... not that I could give up totally on rocking shows ever of course. The last gig on Good Friday backing up The Runaway really rekindled my taste for the stage and the music. With a full live band and Runaway's cousin singing her heart out, it was the livest show I've rocked in forever ... especially since about 800 youth and leaders were really feeling the vibes. This is great news because the 2nd release on Prophetic Poetic Records is The Runaway's debut album "A Brief Word". Trust me this album rocks straight out and I even got to jam out on the last track trading verses with my main man for "See Rap Run". You can check it on my Myspace page. That is a little taste of the style we'll be hitting you with when we get to work on our collabo album. Check out the freshness of A Brief Word for yourselves on The Runaway's myspace page and Sphereofhiphopmp3.com for album previews and free downloads. Make sure you check us out at the CD Release concert on May 26th, at The Gig Theatre in Kitchener, ON.

Well I'll get back to waiting for our first child to be born ... I promise to update more often than last year (as if that's tough!). I'll also try and reflect back on some of the shows in the last year as things were a lot more busy than I've made it appear. One last word, there is a vert old Skeletal Decibels track "Aces" (prod. Savilion) that was released last year by SuperiorBelly.com on their SuperiorBelly Compilation alongside other indy names like Noah23, Glue, Passage (of Anticon), and many others. With some good distribution, It's helping spread the words of the Seer as far as Japan. We believe 2007 is gonna be a good year, so look for more to come.

May 22, 2006 - For four months ILL SEER has been allowing Cyril Guerette to get his non-hiphop careers in gear, whilst stealing time to rock a show or two. The future months hold more of slowdown actually, until this thesis is finished and thereby a proper philosophical foundation is laid for the construction of his next solo album. AKA I'm just too busy these days. On top of this I've been hobbling everywhere (or nowhere if I could help it) due to a kneecap fracture incurred running away from ancient demons. CGI demons at that. I was visiting my lovely Maegan working on the set of the film The Storm which is written, directed, and produced by the main man, Todd Cantelon. After being an extra in a bus I caught the acting bug and a few of my homies, Karl, Daryll, and Anton, wisked me away to do shoot a bunch of us running down the street from non-existant demons who were to be computer-added later. I tripped at one point, smashed my knee on the ground, rolled out of it, and kept running for the next half-hour. Two days later I finally check into the hospital to find I fractured my knee. Who knew being a movie action extra star was so hard on the body?

Musically, I've had the chance to rap this past while on stages with Lightheaded member Braille, ShadK, Relic, Runaway, Soul Natural, SelfHelp. To top it off I also got to rock out with Monica Schroeder, Uneven Ground, Jelly-Filled, Ben Sures, and Dan Fournier, and even got to host host a Battle of the Bands as well, in Cambridge, at Heritage Rawks. One of the most memorable moments has to be EmpireRemixed thrown by my boy Andrew Rennie, which actually featured famous theologian and Anglican Bishop of Durham, NT Wright in intimate conversation with Brian Walsh at Revival Bar. It felt like a bit of Toronto theology history, especially seeing him later grace the stage himself and sing and play some Bob Dylan with the band. It was great to be a part of it with DJ TeknoStep, Julia Churchill and Alison Hari Singh. See Pictures.

The HipHopHelps 2: Raise Concert was also off the hook, and a big success for Prophetic Poetic in Waterloo. Rogers Community Televesion even came along and ended up putting out a segment on the event that aired a few times, including interviews with Runaway and ILL SEER. Look for more mixtape projects and shows aimed to help charities outta the PP camp in the future, and an album out of the Runaway.

To be honest though, probably the thing which gives me most hope for my music in the future has been finally putting the vision I had always dreamed of into practice with the PsalmBombing events. After delivering my paper "Aleatoric Rhetoric" to the American Academy of Religion a few years ago I had always wanted to actually implement my thoughts on doxological freestyle with others in a concerted musical effort. With Cliff Meyers helping to organize several events at Heritage College, we started the first one with a small group of 15 people or so, many of whom were musicians. No one really knew what to expect, but Tom Labonte started hitting them drums, and the bass and guitar followed in an improvised jam session, and I started freestyling my heart to God and I was like "yeah." It just felt right immediately. Musicians started trading instruments and I finally convinced my man Ben Martin to hit the mic and try something he hasn't done before - rockstar that he is - pray to God in freestyle. He sputtered, stuttered, and uttered shuddering thunderous words from his soul to his God, and I thought, "Ah Yeah." When a few more got up and followed suit and the music got tighter and tighter I got the mic back to thank God for what was happening and would happen. Each event got better, and better-attended. Freestyling skills grew too, and our hearts, and new musicians and rhymers added new blood. A highlight was when Scott Kipfer hit the keys and the Spirit breathed our life to leaf. We will start up the official events again in September every month till April hopefully. I am excited to see how this experiment develops. In the meantime I can hit some future events with some psalmbombing over beats and there is always the upcoming Nidus Festival this August 4-6. I want something special for that show, its gonna be a fresh weekend.

January 21, 2006 - Times flies in the face of winter; a new year for the Seer and things are definitely building. First wanna thank all the people who've grabbed the album or checked the tunes, it means a lot. A number of shows are in the works including hosting the Battle of the Bands at Heritage Rawks on March 17th. Moving back to Toronto has taken a lot of readjustment but it can only be good for the music. For example, if you are spiritually-minded make sure you check in on a given Sunday evening at Freedomize Toronto as you might catch a verse from Ill Seer for invocation or in the midst of a sermon! Look for some interesting musical developments to come out of this new partnership.

Some new reviews have popped up including one at
SphereofHiphop where LaRosa comments: "It’s a severe contrast of dark & light, just like the good & evil that make up God & satan. Well, not exactly, but you get the picture. In his lyrics, Ill Seer presents a lot of scriptural and political knowledge & wisdom that is unsurpassed by many emcees." I gotta give a special shout out to Plastic for this fine site and its support. My track "Think About These Things" even made #69 on their Top 109 Downloads 2005 chart. Thanks also to UrbanRebirth.com for linking the review on their front page.

KONY from UrbanElite wrote a recent review of Phosphatidylserine saying kind things such as: "The album does act as a terrific showcase to a collection of very talented producers unstained by the jewelled finger of jiggy bling, and for a poet of intensity and honesty consumed by the need for others to think in a time of media driven banality. Nice for your home stereo."

On the same site, SURFACE of UrbanElite earlier reviewed the BeatTrotterz EP saying of the Skeletal Decibels track (produced by Inja): "A crackin uptempo beat with nice electronic effects, really tight quick witted tongue twistin lyrics as deep as the Pacific, a number of MCs share between 8, 12 and 16 bars, crammed into around 3 minutes. Like a hit n run that leaves the listener entirely satisfied. When the Canadians are top of their game, like this track Awkward Puns, they really do produce some of the most interesting hiphop you can find anywhere. Not too abstract so as to be marginalized, but different enough to be truly refreshing." Nice to see we're doing good things for the name of Canadian indy hiphop in the world! A list of stores the EP is on sale at in Europe is available at the LibreStyle blog.

Funny little interview with my homie Luke Geraty on the LOPSE page. Conduct Lionheart asks him directly:

"Conduct: You have some great friends. Is it true that your friend, Ill Seer, is one of the most intelligent men on God's green earth?

Luke: That is the rumor. The jerk never emails me anymore though, since he's mr. busy body. I suppose being a professor and a doctoral student leaves one busy, but he's still a jerk... ha ha. Yes, you can tell him I said that and if he reads this, now he knows he's supposed to hit me up. I enjoy discussing things with him though. It is not very often that I find people to discuss theology with or to ponder Greek and Hebrew with. He is such the man. I like him a lot. Plus he's dope."

LOL! All I can say is cheers for the question Conduct, and I'll hit you up soon Luke - we gotta do that project still with Elias homie, so shoot me some beats.

On the Radio tip, many thanks to Sweet Jane for including "Numblock (ft. Skuff)" on the Dec. 20th edition of the Super Position Show on Radio Magnetic. Likewise wanna thank Busto4D at 92.5 The X Kamloops Campus Community Radio for playing "INTRODaUnCTION (ft. Inja)" for the folks in B.C. Shouts to 92.2 Radio Dijon Campus in France for playing Skeletal Decibels' tune "Awkward Puns" on Dec. 7th.

Really enjoyed my short visit with The Listener when he was down for his Tour of Homes on Nov. 136h. Hope we catch you again on the next one my brother. Lastly,
Big up Curt Awakening for his kind words on his site: "Curt Awakening's got your back!!!!" You know it's appreciated.

September 23 - The Heritage gig Friday, Sept. 9thwas really dope, especially jamming out with the band, Sense of Waiting for a freestyle session at the end. Look for more shows in the futre.

The Canadian Gospel Music Association just announced the 27th Covenant Award nominees on Tuesday. Nice to see my album up on there!

Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year

* Truth Is Fallin' In Tha Streets - Fresh.I.E
* Phosphatidylserine - Ill Seer
* Epiphany - Manafest
* The Preface - N.I.F.T.Y.

Check the rest of the nominations here. The 27th Annual Covenant Awards will be held October 22nd in Toronto at the McVety Centre located on the campus of Canada Christian College.

September 20 - Lakeside Media Group has launched a new compilation called Launch: Ignition which features the ILL SEER track "Triumphant.". The CD is released through CMC Distribution for the amazing price of just $5.00. It features some other great up and coming acts including my homeboys Manafest, Relic, and N.I.F.T.Y. as wells as Titus, Hello Kelly, Kiros, Chris Stacey, and plenty of others. You can purchase the CD here. Inside there is a coupon for $2.00 off the Seer's Phosphatidylserine LP that is redeemable at all family and Christian bookstores that are serviced by CMC Distribution in Canada. The last Launch compilation sold over 6000 units so this will great news for the Prophetic Poetic camp in terms of promotion.

Likewise the Beat Trotterz EP has dropped on Librestyle Records in France. It includes an old Skeletal Decibels track that features Ill Seer, Shinobi, Savilion & Status of Creaturebox, LefSpek, and C-3-Pee-0 over one of Inja's beats. The album also features Rapsus'Klei & Hazhe, Bluntedbuggz (prod. RC), Kasta (Prod. Vladi), Les Taupes (prod. DJ Kesmo), Hasan Salaam (prod. QC Funk), and T-Bone Steak. It is an international EP with artists from Spain, Denmark, Russia, France, USA, Canada, and Japan. The effort is executive produced by Seize and FAZ TMS. A German site called HipHopNews.de posted a review already. The English translation which results from Google's tool reveals the following intriguing comment on my connection to the project: "large class from Canada and correctly fat."

Gotta big up my man Zeus Kijewski for playing out my track "The Gauntlet" on CKMS Waterloo. It was a dope suprise to have when driving in my car home from work. He's always dropping mad Canadian underground hiphop so if you're in the region make sure you look for when he's spinning. Also big up Jason Brown again from 92.5 The X Kamloops Campus Community Radio for playing out "Liebull" on For Your Entertainment (6pm) during his August 28 show.

Finally, before you take off, make sure you check out the two new Prophetic Poetic tracks up for your downloading pleasure:

Ill Seer feat. Mandy Martens - Think About These Things (prod. Vangel)

Runaway - Exposed (prod. Runaway)

July 24th, 2005
- Building ... things keep building. And boy am I happy I'm not in the building trade this year, the first time since I was 16! Southwestern Ontario has been scorching and I've been spending a lot of time in my new office trying to finish up this doctoral work. I had a chance to rock a show in St. Catharine's
with Omega Empire and Exit Theme and a gang of other acts. I've added a new page on the Phosphatidylserine LP complete with tracklisting, press comments, and places to purchase the CD.

Gotta big up 92.5 The X Kamloops Campus Community Radio once again as Busto4D played out "Think About These Things" on the June 25, 2005
edition of the Hip Hop Shop, while Jason Brown pumped out "LieBull" on For Your Entertainment for July 3rd.

Keep checking for the soon to be revealed dates, locations, and times of Ill Seer shows in SW Ontario.

June 29th, 2005
- A lot of things happening in the past month. First up was our 9-day adventure to the shores of England. Spent a grip of time with the Delegates of Culture in Cambridge including a 2-day barbeque bonanza. It was great to get to show Maegan my old stomping grounds and catch up on all the amazing music being created by Skuff, Inja, Bee 109, Axwax, S-Class, Toe, Prolo, and Chris Groove. I even got a track recorded with Vacuum on Vacuum called "Fabricated Spaceman" that shows a mellower side of the Seer. Make sure you check for fresh Supreme Being clothing courtesy of Skuff and company as they continue expand through Europe and into North America. We spent the final two days of the trip with my man Rich t the Servitor in London, England and got to explore the downtown by double-decker bus. Overall it was a relaxing and learning experience, I can't wait to return to record a new Delegates album.

Good news! You can now order the Phosphatidylserine LP online at Phonographique.com (Canada) and SphereofHiphop.com (US).

A few more reviews of the album have been popping up as well. Future Music magazine had an encouraging review in their NEXT BIG THING? section, giving the album 8/10 and writing: "Some of the beats are absolutely stunning melody-wise and Cyril's unique flow twists and turns all over the place to create a very interesting listen ... This is a very good album that's a bit of a breath of fresh air in a rather stale scene at the moment." On the other hand, it seems that Rob Pursey at HipHop Connection took an extreme dislike to the spirituality of my album, giving it a measly 1/5. I pray he listens to it again! However, the undeterrable Addi Stewart of Pound Magazine joined the majority of critics with a positive appreciation of my work, going so far as to say: "when you insert this CD, your brain will be injected with a blast of raw Hip-Hop word power unlike anything you are hearing underground now. ... Overall, it's a holy experience."

Radio has also been friendly during the past month. In the UK, Jimmy Possession played out "My Proposal" on 209radio.co.uk on the June 18th, 2005 edition of The Jimmy Possession Show. DJ Hazit keeps supporting in the USA at Holy Culture Radio playing "The Gauntlet" on the most recent episode of Theoretically Content. Jason Brown in Canada also gets another bigup for playing the album's title cut "Phosphatidylserine" on 92.5 The X Kamloops Campus Community Radio.

It seems like "Akward Puns", an old tune I did with Shinobi as part of Skeletal Decibels, is making it onto vinyl in France as part of Librestyle's Beat Trotterz EP. The track is produced by Inja (Delegates of Culture) and features Savilion (Creaturebox), LefSpek, C-3-Pee-0, and Status/Toad1 (Creaturebox). Bigup to Sixteen and Faz for setting the whole thing up.

Finally, I want to give a big thanks to the people at CMC Distribution who have agreed to distribute my album to all the Family and Christian bookstores throughout the entire country of Canada! Also look for an Ill Seer track on their upcoming LAUNCH Compilation. Likewise, keep your eyes peeled for a series of concerts throughout Ontario to promote the album starting in the month of August.

May 24th, 2005 - The Pitch N Praise event in Stayner, ON was amazing! Ill Seer and the Runaway rocked the Battle of the Bands on Saturday, May 21st. It felt really great, and the crowd was a great size and seemed to especially enjoy the freestyling. Later on we participated in two different panel discussions, one on HipHop and one on the Music Industry. It was dope chilling with my man Nifty again as well as Jeff from Sonz of God. The highlight however had to be my realization that an old acquaintance from Sarnia, Dave Fretz, was in charge of music for the event. Better yet he invited up an old friend Charlie, one of the coolest Christians I met in Sarnia, and we spent a great deal of the afternoon catching up. Dude has a dream job ... he's an engineer of Robot Systems! And you thought engineers couldn't have fun. I was happy to meet his fiancee Ali, they complemented each other perfectly. This time around we'll be better at keepin in touch via email! This May 2-4 was one that I'll look back on as a truly uplifting and encouraging experience due to the peeps at Pitch N Praise.

Sphere of Hiphop has just posted an article on Phosphatidylserine and should be taking pre-orders shortly!

I gotta say big up to a few radio shows that have been playing Ill Seer tunes including DJ Hazit in the USA at Holy Culture Radio for playing out "F8" and "INTRODaUnCTION" on recent episodes of his Theoretically Content show. Big ups to Jason Brown and Kenneth Rogers for playing "TRuthless" on their show For Your Entertainment at 92.5 The X Kamloops Campus Community Radio. Also to Eastborn/Riz in Scotland at Radio Magnetic for playing out "Livin' Godly" "A Call from God" and "Triumphant" on his show Kemikal Kaos. I know there are a lot more djs playing tunes so hit me up if you're playing it out or heard it on air so I can give shoutouts to those who are supporting.

Shadrach Kabango, Kinsman the Mere Mortal, Runaway and I recorded some drops for an upcoming Prophetic Poetic Mixtape for charity called HipHop Helps 2: Raise. It's being peiced together by Runaway with a lot of exclusive freestyles and freeverses and tonnes of top tunage. If you want a copy of the first HipHop Helps cd which includes a few tunes I feature on hit up jon@propheticpoetic.com ...

Maegan and I are finally gonna have our first vacation since our honeymoon two years ago. Destination: the motherland of official Ill Seer material ... Cambridge, UK. She'll get to finally meet the Delegates of Culture crew in person, as we record some tracks for an official album. I hope we get to attend a Rawganics event and see my boys Inja, Skuff, Bee, S-Class, and Toe ripping the mic, while Chris Groove mans the decks ... it's been too long. Plus I'll finally get my hands on this Patchwork Gideon project they've done with The Untold and here how the new Inja and Skuff albums are coming along. We'll also get to visit all the art galleries in London together and crash with my man Rich t the Servitor from Michaelis Constant. He missed our wedding because he was a doctor and they wouldn't let him go to SARS-infested Toronto back then, but he still managed to make it down last year when we rocked with Mars Ill. He even teaches Maegan how to make beats so maybe we'll see some husband-wife collabs after this vacation.

May 14th, 2005
- So I guess I was an April Fool as I haven't done an update for that entire month! And It's not that I haven't been busy with music. On April 2nd I had the pleasure to perform at a BeFed charity event for Rawanda in Alma, ON. It was excellent to meet up-and-coming indy/folk rocker Joel Geleynse and his talented band. On May 5th I had the chance to perform for an audience of pasotrs with Runaway at Vision Ministeries' special conference. It was nice to see a whole audience actually sitting listening intensely to every lyric ... a dream come true!

CKMS FM 100.3 has continued showing love to the Ill Seer ranking the album #9 on the overall charts for March 18-24. At the same station I appeared for an interview on the Dadmobile show April 14th. Tony Salome keeps supporting local K-W talent every Thursday at 9pm so make sure you check for it. I also appeared the next week, Wed. April 20th on a special 9pm slot hosted by none other than Prophetic Poetic's own Jon Corbin (aka Runaway). Continuing on the radio tip, I was happy to hear my tune "Theory Vs. Practice" on 94.3 Faith FM last week as well.

Mumble's Hiphop has given my album Phostphatidylserine a 10 out of 10 review!!!! One sentence sums up this encouraging and detailed review: "this record is tight from start to finish." Big up Mumbles and go pre-order my album from the site. My UK and European bredrin can likewise order the album from either Headnod.co.uk or MovesMusic.com.

A lot of exciting events planned musically for the summer, including a possible Canadian tour! I'll let you know details as soon as they're solidified.

March 23rd, 2005 - Time's flying and I'm enjoying the ride! Rocked the Turret at Laurier University with the rest of my from Psalm Bombing bredrin on March 15th. It's exciting to see us developing a live show as a crew, yet still incorporating our solo material. Hope people catch my next show at BeFed in Alma as it is a benefit concert for Rawanda.

The radio charts have still been friendly to the Phosphatidylserine LP, with it coming in at #2 on the hiphop charts for CFCR FM 90.5 in Saskatoon for the week of March 4th and only dropping to #3 for the week of March 11th. In the hometown of K-W the album dropped on the overall CKMS FM 100.3 from #2 down to #14 for Feb. 25 - March 3 but then rebounded back to #6 for thew week of March 4-10. Meanwhile at CFRO 102.7 FM Co-op Radio in Vancouver the album was #20 for the week of 03/09/05 to 03/15/05 and dropped to #23 for the week of 03/02/05 to 03/08/05. I want to thank all these DJs from coast to coast for supporting a native son named Seer.

I also want to give a big thank you to Tony Salome of Dadmobile for his inspiring review of my album for Xen Magazine. It's hard to complain when what someone says about your art includes: "This introduction is just a sample of mind-bending assault of multi-syllable rhymes, and linguistic rhythm put forward by the Ill Seer on his debut full-length. The rapid-fire lyrics demonstrate a fascination with phonetics and language construction and make this a great album to listen to over and over. ... Far from a purely intellectual affair, this album covers an ambitious and impressive amount of territory." The article is extremely well written, I encourage you to check the link above, plus the layout in the actual print version looks stellar with the rainbow colour scheme.

Another review, this one by by DJ Slim, appeared at Grindmode Magazine. I was honoured that he compared me to one of the all-time great lyricists of hiphop saying: "The verbose MC delivers a highly poetic platter that, at times such as on the drum and bass edged, 'The Gauntlet,' brings to mind the work of artists like Killah Priest."

Lastly, for any of you MySpace heads link check my page out and become a friend of the Ill Seer at http://www.myspace.com/illseer ...

March 8th, 2005
- Been quite a while since my last rant and a lot has happened. The radio show with
Zeus Kijewski"One MC and No DJ" at University of Waterloo Radio CKMS 100.3 was a blast. Seemed like it went well as promo as well since the album debuted on their overall CKMS-FM Playlist #7 for for February 11 - 17 and then rose to #2 for February 18 - 24.

It appears Phosphatidylserine was also #2 add for the Urban Charts compiled by DJ Sage for CFRO 102.7 FM Co-op Radio in Vancouver:

We really appreciate the support from local radio including the dope time spent up at University of Toronto Scarborough Campus with my man
DJ Lupan's radio show "Synaptic Disruptions" at www.fusionradio.ca ... it was on Mon., Feb. 28th which if you don't remember was a raging snowstorm. But the show must go on ...

I also rocked a live set at Wilfred Laurier University's local venue Wilf's with my fellow emcees Soul Natural and Kinsman the Mere Mortal from Psalm Bombing on Sat., March 5th after visiting with my Sarnia crew.

The first review of Phosphatidylserine has sprung up online by Critical Beatdown Magazine. A tasty little excerpt states: "Lyrically Ill Seer is an excellent vocalist, a deep mc, an original mcwith his own unique style ... You can tell that Ill Seer has put a lot of thought into the vocals and along with the fat production throughout the result is a solid debut from this Delegates Of Culture mc."

Feb. 1st, 2005 - The show at the Labrynth on Friday night was hype. Thanks go out to my man Jason Bivel for setting up an extremely fun night and congrats to the same man for the turnout meaning he made enough to apply to the posh culinary school of his dreams. As DJ J-Sonic, he also spun a fun upbeat house and breaks set alongside his homeboy Grand Central. Can't forget Ritchie Ruckspin and James St. James holdin down the jungle room in the basement. Bigups to my mans LefSpek and Riksha as well for joining me up on stage for a fun back n forth freestyle adventure. I got to test a new track or two in the club setting and was happy with the result. I also got to catch up with my dear friend David McGhee and his new flame Jen. It is awesome to see someone you care for finally find a partner that makes him happy. Many thanks to all the Freedomize folks who showed up to support, my man Chuggo who was running security (noone wanted to rap battle the bouncer that night!), and my producer Dorc who made up a pot of coffee for the morning.

I missed the show in Alma due to some super nasty weather but should be making it down for the next BeFed event at the beginning of April. There are also a few nights being planned as CD release parties in a few Ontario cities.

On the album front: I've finally got them in my hands from the manufacturer and must say I'm quite happy with the turnout. The artwork is some beautiful black and white photography from Maegan which has got a lot of compliments from those who have seen it. I've engaged in a full-out Canadian radio mailout assault so hopefully we'll see some results in the coming weeks. My man DJ Lupan (of Neural Chaos) got a jump start on the competition, adding the lead single "Think About These Things" feat. Mandy Martens to his playlist for Monday, Jan.31/05. You can check his show out every Monday at www.fusionradio.ca from 8-10pm. It looks like I'll be a guest on his show in a few weeks as well, I'll keep ya posted.

Big Bigups also to my man Zeus Kijewski as well as I'm slated to be a guest on his show "One MC and No DJ" at University of Waterloo Radio CKMS 100.3 next Tuesday, February 8th at 8-10am in the morning.

Lastley, shout outs to my man Jeff Stout from the Sarnia motherland whose getting married to his princess Cindy this coming weekend. Seer's going to be an usher! (not of the R&B variety)

Jan. 16th, 2005 - Friday night was an awesome stag night for my man LefSpek at Down One lounge in Toronto. The night ended with him n Riksha hitting the mic with some back and forth antics. It was my pleasure to give a freestyle treasure live on stange by blessing his upcoming Marriage to Kristie-Dawn. I got some more good news for him cuz it looks like a track we did awhile back called "Akward Puns" will be appearing on wax in France through the boys at Librestyle. I'm hoping him and Riksha can join me at the Woodstock gig.

A new review of "F8" sprung up online. "The beats are super dark and the lyrics fit in nicely. Ill Seer provides an unusual style but it goes down well." This is the type of thing I like to hear, someone appreciating differance. The same reviewer gave his view of the Resented EP. "The lyrics provide the listener with a wonderful soundcape of mental anguish and lack of recognition. The beats are similar to those produced by Def Jux and are a refreshing change form the usual party style production of many U.K artists." It's neat to hear others describe your records so creatively, it helps you understand yourself in new ways sometimes.

Jan. 9th, 2005 - New News already?! Ah yeah ... check out the resurrected Ill Seer Interview at RapNews.co.uk. Matt G asked some super questions which allowed me to discuss my favourite two topics - theology and hiphop - together.

I also want to thank Tony Salome for mentioning me in Xen Magazine's local "2004 The Year We Rocked" review. I especially like the "The Ill Seer drops brilliant inspired lyrics" part! Check the whole article here.

Jan. 8th, 2005 - Welcome to the brand new ILLSEER.COM for a brand new second hand year... no worries PropheticPoetic.com
is still alive and well. It will focus on being an arts and music production, promotion, and publication company. It is also the label upon which the debut Ill Seer solo album "Phosphatidylserine" will be dropping in a few short months! I will use this space to document the series of adventures that will be faced in the coming years and the various strange musings that invade my head from time to time.

I want to thank Robert Yates at Webpowerplus.org
for making the transition to a new server much less stressful than it could have been. Check em out if you need web-hosting.

In the meantime, if anyone wishes to contact me seer@propheticpoetic.com is the place.
